Our love story began on 18 April 2024, during a charity golf day in Middelburg. A chance encounter quickly turned into something special, and for the first time we both truly experienced "love at first sight". From there we travelled back and forth between Pretoria and Wellington until Nykie persuaded Cobus to move to Pretoria for a while.

Later, what Nykie initially envisioned as a summer Eurotrip took an unforgettable turn on 31 August 2025 in the enchanting Swiss Alps when Cobus proposed and she said yes! 

After exactly one year of being engaged we will be tying the knot on a beautiful sandy beach in Mozambique
